DJ Dholak is a Columbus, Ohio DJ duo built on one idea: make people feel joy through the music. The project started when a parent suggested the two try DJing. Two months into sharing a single controller they realized they sounded sharp together, and the duo was born. The name comes from the dholak, the Indian hand drum one half of the act has played since the age of two, and that instrument is woven straight into their live sets. Expect open-format mixing with a genuine Indian flair you will not hear from any other act in the city: hip-hop, house, Bollywood, and current hits stitched into one continuous ride.
